Movies in Theaters: Hail, Caesar!, Room, and The Forest
Hail, Caesar! Check out DVD Talk's latest reviews of movies that are in theatrical release. This week's crop includes: Hail, Caesar! - The Coen Brothers latest film is the best thing you're likely to see in the theatres for months, guaranteeing a good if very unusual time; Room - a magnificent film that understands how to genuinely inspire through its diverse reflections on resilience; and The Forest - a mixture of supernatural enigmas and psychological confusion with the melancholy subject matter involving Japan's historically significant "suicide forest." Other recent films include: The Revenant, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Anomalisa, In the Heart of the Sea, The Good Dinosaur, Creed, and Steve Jobs. Check out these, and more, in DVDTalk's Theatrical Review section.

This Week's Notable Releases: Snow White, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, and Highway to Hell
Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs: Signature Edition There are some new titles coming out that might make it worth a trip to the video store this week. Check out these recent releases: Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs: Signature Edition [review] - a milestone in American animation and holds up very well more than 75 years after its original release... featuring jaw-dropping visuals, memorable songs, and a story that favors little details and interactions over non-stop action, it's still great entertainment for fans of all ages; and I'm Gonna Git You Sucka [review] - a delightful spoof of blaxploitation films delivering plenty of laughs with the help of a talented cast of legendary action stars and up-and-coming comedians; and Highway to Hell [review] - Ate de Jong's 1991 genre mash-up is certainly an odd duck of a movie, but it's also a whole lot of screwy fun. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

Recent Reviews: Of Mice and Men, The Southerner, and The American Friend
Of Mice And Men Our reviewers have been busy this week, filling the DVD Talk Review Database more great entries. Some new reviews of note include: Of Mice and Men - Gary Sinise's version of the John Steinbeck novel is an efficient, thoughtful adaptation of classic source material, made all the better by strong performances, great music, and very little dead weight; The Southerner - this touching family drama from Jean Renoir's American period is a forgotten gem, beautifully restored and nicely supplemented; and The American Friend: Criterion Collection - memorable performances from Bruno Ganz and Dennis Hopper highlight this excellent adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's Ripley's Game by Patricia Highsmith by director Wim Wenders. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
