TV on DVD: The League, Alaskan Bush People, and Two Guys And A Girl
Roots: The Complete Original Series Interested in the latest TV on DVD reviews? DVD Talk has you covered! This week's notable entries include: The League - Season Seven - the final season of the series is still insanely clever, and finds brilliant ways to tie the group's fantasy football addiction to the rest of their lives; Alaskan Bush People: Season 1 & 2 - this reality show chronicles the continuing adventures of Ami and Billy Brown as they build a home deep in the remote Alaskan bush and raise their seven children; and Two Guys And A Girl: The Complete Series - Ryan Reynolds and Nathan Fillion's sitcom start... the consistency of the quality improves in later episodes, but there are only a few characters you'll find yourself pulling for. Want more?  Check out all of the TV on DVD reviews in the DVD Talk database.

This Week's Notable Releases: Fantastic Planet, The Wave, and 99 River Street
Fantastic Planet: Criterion Collection Several great movies and programs have come out recently, including a few that shouldn't be missed: Fantastic Planet: Criterion Collection - co-written by director René Laloux and surrealist illustrator Roland Topor, this movie is every bit as psychedelic and off-balance as its stylized appearance suggests; The Wave - Norway gets the old-fashioned disaster film genre up on its feet again with a well-made, scary story set in a Northern fjord, where a devastating tsunami is a genuine threat; and 99 River Street - this classic film noir is teeming with surprises, every last one of which are well-earned rather than clumsy attempts at yanking the rug out from under the audience. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

New Reviews: Dr. Strangelove, Eddie The Eagle, and Zoolander No. 2
Dr. Strangelove, Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb Some cool discs have been reviewed over the past week. Check out these recent entries: Dr. Strangelove, Or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb - among the best (if not the best) film satires ever, Dr. Strangelove is an amazing film from multiple angles, whether you're talking about the visual artistry, the tremendous performances or the cogent commentary on military power and nuclear weaponry; Eddie The Eagle - this film attempts to capture ski jumper Eddie "The Eagle" Edwards' spirit to realize the dream of the Olympics and to combined it with the proverbial desire to overcome physical odds to do so; and Zoolander No. 2: The Magnum Edition - this sequel throws Ben Stiller's character into a comedic international spy thriller.
