TV on DVD: Mannix and One-Punch Man
Mannix: The Complete Series Interested in the latest TV on DVD reviews? DVD Talk has you covered! This week's notable entries include: Mannix: The Complete Series - running for an impressive eight seasons, this classic detective show is entertaining but routine, rising and falling based on the quality of each week's script ; and One-Punch Man - an amusing, if unconventional series that would grow tedious if it were not blessed with the quality of animation that can turn a story about a recurring gag into an enthralling work that packs a punch. Notable Releases: Bambi, Future Shock, and Ghost World
Bambi: Signature Edition Another banner week for home video with the studios releasing some great films and boxed sets such as: Bambi: Signature Edition - a timeless tale that holds up perfectly well today, serving up the same pitch-perfect A/V presentation as their earlier edition and another enjoyable collection of supplements; Future Shock! The Story Of 2000AD - a film about a cult comic book best known in another country does a nice job of welcoming newcomers to the party, exploring the history of a niche institution and making it universal for viewers; and Ghost World - a precious gem of a film, a self-contained marvel that matches great performances and beautifully creative filmmaking to create something unique and timeless. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

New Reviews: Logan, Canoa, and The Stone Killer
Logan Check out the latest reviews that have been entered into the DVD Talk Review Database including: Logan - bold and daring, this movie does take a cinematic mythology and puts it on its head with themes that comic book action films usually don't explore; Canoa: A Shameful Memory - Criterion Collection - little known in this country, the film is a startling recreation of a real-life incident of mass psychosis… a postmodern political thriller that turns into an outright horror film; and The Stone Killer - falls squarely in the middle of Charles Bronson's filmography, this movie is a rather muddled cop thriller with no clear aim, despite some interesting concepts, an excellent cast, and a slam-bang climax.
