Savant's new reviews today are
Under the editing gun with no big news to report ... but the American Cinematheque is presenting a must-see double bill of two Czech science fiction films this summer: END OF AUGUST AT THE HOTEL OZONE is a 1967 post-apocalyptic story of a group of marauding females that I never thought I'd get a chance to see. IKARIE XB-1 is the legendary Czech science fiction movie about a Voyage to the End of the Universe (the AIP redub, chop-down title) that was a big Trieste contender in 1963. An amazing double bill that I'll make sure not to miss ... Glenn Erickson
