Hello from California, where the weather is so good I wish I could give you a sample over the net. The studio library offerings are about to turn to a summer-long film noir rally, but right now we're getting a full diet of non-genre classics and quality fare. Titles already released that I need to catch up with are Long Day's Journey into Night, Julius Caesar, A Minute to Pray a Second to Die, Breezy, Das Boot (miniseries), and Hangman's Knot. Already in hand or on the way are Mama Roma, The Lower Depths, Driller Killer, Deathdream, Kotch, The Asphalt Jungle, Murder My Sweet and Gun Crazy. I also bought a copy of Jack the Giant Killer for myself and may review it if anyone wants me too - it came out quite a while ago.

Savant's new reviews today are

A Woman is a Woman Criterion
Moulin Rouge MGM
Goodbye, Columbus Paramount and
The Snake Pit Fox

I heard last week that Universal has postponed or put off its disc of Double Indemnity; if that's true, I hope it was so they can up the quality or extras for the title. See You Next Thursday, Glenn Erickson
