The Movie:

I'm not really sure what to make of Club Zion, one of the latest releases from Nectar Entertainment, it isn't an adult film, but neither is it a mainstream video.  Marty Zion, Nectar's exclusive director, has created an hour long video of attractive, scantily clad girls dancing.  There is no sex, other than a few kisses between women, and no nudity.  Just dancing on some of the nice sets that Zion is noted for, with the url to nectar's web site burned in.

Make no mistake, this is dirty dancing.  The women rub their breasts and show off their crotches.  This isn't the type of DVD that you'd pop in as background music to a dinner party, but the dancing wasn't erotic enough to get me turned on.  Zion uses some fast cuts and sharp camera angles which gives the movie the feel of a rock video.  There are a lot of cross fades and jump cuts and the rapid splices sometimes made it hard to get a good look at the dancers.  This also served to dampen to mood a little, with some of the cuts being jarring.  It's for that reason that I can't see this DVD being used to get a spouse in the mood, and since there isn't any sex, it doesn't work as an adult film either.

One thing that this DVD does showcase is the quality of Nectar's productions.  While many adult film producers are willing to use any vacant area or hotel room for their movies, Marty Zion tries to dress his sets up a little and that is evident here.

The DVD:

Audio/Video:

The audio and video quality are fine, though it should be noted again that the entire movie has WWW.Netctarmovies.com in large letters at the bottom of the screen.  This gets old really fast.

The Extras:

There are trailers (that do contain nudity and sex) to most, if not all, of Nectar's films.

Final Thoughts:

This is a would be a great promotional disc for Nectar to give away.  It has a large selection of trailers and it shows the production values that their movies contain.  I can't see paying for this though.  The direction and editing style didn't make the dancer seem very sensual, and the burned in web page address was annoying.  It doesn't work as a porno movie or a mainstream release.  Skip it.
Ed Note - Nectar Entertainment is using this disc as a free promo DVD
