Video:
The video is given in 1.33:1 ratio full frame color. The quality is pretty good and probably the best aspect about this release. The picture looks fairly clean. However, there are portions when high movement appears choppy. In general, color and flesh tones look quite rich. Also, in case you missed the caption for the third screen cap, the video is not censored.

Audio:
The audio is given in 2.0 Dolby digital stereo sound. The sound quality is good, except it offers very little distinction in separation between channels. The majority of the audio is 'ambient' background music. There is occasional dialogue, which is always easy to hear over the music.

Extras:
If you found the actual feature exciting, then the extras should blow your mind away! Similarly, if the feature left you feeling empty inside, then the extras probably won't do much for you either. The first extra is a featurette that almost runs for twenty-nine minutes. It is "Playmate Calendar Retrospective Volume 4", which is a short featurette that has various playmates (Like Anna Nicole Smith) in the same format as the feature. From there, the extras get even worse. There is a dull photo gallery, biographies & filmographies with Playboy, and a few trailers for other Playboy Video releases. Finally, there is wallet sized calendar that has nudie pics of all the twelve playmates from the feature.

Final Thoughts:
While the idea of a bunch of beautiful naked girls sounds appealing, 2005 Playboy Video Playmate Calendar fails on many different levels to be interesting. Unless you are deeply familiar with the Playboy Video format and absolutely love it, pass on this.
