You can't go more than a block without seeing a Starbucks. They are a huge company with an establishment on every corner (figuratively speaking). Heck, in some of the higher traffic areas in big cities, you will find Starbucks across the street from each other, and sometimes in the same building on different floors. They are an enormous company and everyone loves their coffee. In Playboy's Women of Starbucks, Playboy video considers the fantasy of having beautiful girls who serve you coffee do a little bit more. Girls from across the country, mostly in California and a few from Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Kansas, and Texas join Playboy for some tasteful nudity, candid interviews, and narrations.

Women of Starbucks takes us on an adventure into a fantasy that probably has been in your mind at one time or another. You go in for a latte and the girl behind the counter happens to be the most gorgeous woman for miles around. And if your dream, fantasy, or desire has been to see her tastefully take off her clothes while providing a narration about herself. You are in luck. Women of Starbucks provides just that. Ten different beauties bare all. They include Sheri Horner, Elizabeth Dindial, Kimberly Frazier, Heather Salsbery, Penny Lynn, Elizabeth Paradise, Erica Loveless, Kattie Bruce, Marcia Lee, and Signe Nordii.

Each scene features the girls giving a narrative about themselves, answering questions, candid interviews with friends, and taking off clothes. Specifically, Sheri gets buck naked on a bed and has a sexy bubble bath, Elizabeth D. does some naked cleaning in a Starbucks like setting with soapy suds and visits the beach, Kimberly talks on a cell phone and poses next to a Volkswagen convertible bug, Heather poses in a windowsill and takes a soapy showers, Penny poses on a bed and enjoys the exotic outdoors, Elizabeth P. shows off her "muffins" in a coffee shop setting, Erica has a very tasteful outdoor photo shoot with a waterfall and swims topless in a pool, Kattie poses in a bathroom and sits on a toilet in the buff, Marcia tries on several different outfits at a trashy lingerie store and poses naked on some bean bags, and Signe attends a topless girl only pool party with alcohol and poses on a red couch.

Overall, this is another Playboy video I was not really moved by. The content is pretty repetitive, but there are some decent moments. Erica Loveless and Elizabeth Dindial are two very fun (and attractive) girls. There profiles/photo shoots were done very nicely. Still, after you watch it there is not much left to enjoy. It goes pretty quickly. But if you are really interested, the candid interviews with friends and family are a nice touch and they allow you to get to know the girls more.

The DVD

Video:
The feature is presented in both widescreen color and 1.33:1 ratio full screen color. The video jumps back and forth between the two. During the widescreen segments, the picture is letterboxed. The quality is pretty good with a clean picture and rich colors. However, there are portions with slight grain and noticeable ghosting.

Audio:
The audio is given in 2.0 Dolby digital stereo sound. The sound quality is good, except it offers very little distinction in separation between channels. There is a lot of spoken dialogue, most of which occurs concurrently with background music. Both are quite easy to hear.

Extras:
Women of Starbucks has a decent line-up for special features. First "Candid Interviews" with Sheri, Kimberly, Penny, Erica, Marcia, Elizabeth D., Heather, Elizabeth P., Kattie, and Signe. It features up close and personal interviews to give you an idea who they are. You can only watch the interviews one at a time; there is no play all option. Each interview runs for two or three minutes. Next is "Playboy Music Clips". The music clips are segments from the girl's photo shoots with background music. Like the interviews, there is a clip for each girl, they run two or three minutes, and can only be watched one at a time. Finally, there is a photo gallery and trailers for Playboy Celebrity Photographers, Girls Of Reality TV, Sex At 24 Frames Per Second, More Sexy Girls Next Door, and Video Centerfold: 2003 Playmate Of The Year Christina Santiago.

Final Thoughts:
The Playboy videos that tend to focus on profiling its cast in various photo shoots with the girls pretty much just getting naked in different situations tend to put me off. Not in the sense, I am opposed to attractive girls in the buff, but I find the concept monotonous and the content gets dull quick. Women of Starbucks fits the bill, but it managed to keep my amusement longer than most Playboy video I have watched. There are additional interviews and focuses on the girls and some of those insights can be worth sitting through. But still, this video would be far from my first pick. But if you enjoy these Women of... Playboy releases, Women of Starbucks should make for a decent watch.
