The Show:

Rooster Teeth has become an internet industry of its own, starting over 10 years ago when Burnie Burns and friends contributed voice-overs for characters in "Halo"'s multi-player universe. The result became "Red Vs. Blue", an often-brilliant (and often downright hilarious) "Office Space"-like comedy. As "Red Vs. Blue" grew in popularity, the series expanded in scope and technical detail, now in its 11th season. Rooster Teeth also went on to create similarly comedic promos for other games.

Over time, Rooster Teeth also expanded, with "Red Vs. Blue" as the centerpiece of what became something of an internet "network", offering everything from live-action shorts to the stunning new animated series, "RWBY."

"Fails of the Weak" is a very funny largely user-generated series from the group, although it is also material that really doesn't require being put out on DVD at all. Again, it's not without laughs, but there's little to it and there's really not that much replay value to be had.
The series is entirely user-submitted videos from online multi-player games of "Halo" where someone screwed up (someone destroys a vehicle, which accidentally flies into teammate or some other oopsie), there was a glitch in the game or other "goof". Members of Rooster Teeth - Geoff and Jack - comment over the videos and have a chuckle. It's basically "Halo's Funniest Home Videos" (actually, that's exactly what it is.)

There's a lot of laughs here and anyone who has ever played "Halo" (or basically any online game that's somewhat similar) will relate to these wild, goofy moments where the unexpected happens. However, this disc is basically 60 minutes of "Halo" clips - there would be more interest in that maybe if these "Fails of the Weak" clips weren't available for free online. With the rise in mobile phones/tablets, it's easier than ever to view Rooster Teeth material anywhere. I love what Rooster Teeth has done with "Red Vs Blue" and their other efforts, but this material should have stayed online - there's not enough here.

There's 17 "Fails" included - these are a mix of videos from "Halo Reach" and "Halo 4".

Video: "Fails" gets a fine presentation, looking exactly like it does online/the game does on XBOX Live. Colors appear bold and crisp, with no smearing or other faults.

Sound:: Crisp stereo audio - not much to deliver, given that it's pretty much entirely commentary.

Extras:: Video commentary "clips", "Ah Life" funny shorts focusing on life around the RT offices, trailers.

Final Thoughts: Love "Halo", love what Rooster Teeth has done, but can't bring myself to recommend paying $10 for what is largely a collection of "Halo" bloopers - ones available for free online. Still, "Fails" is funny stuff for "Halo" fans and catch it online, either at the RT website or the Youtube channel.
