Blink-182's video release The Urethra Chronicles has finally made its way to DVD. Although hardly promoted and not even available at a number of online sites, Blink fans will definitely want to add this disc to their collection, even those who own the VHS version that was released late last year.

Although there is no mention of the 'chronicles' aspect of the disc on the packaging, the title of the disc comes from a half hour collection of interviews and home videos that offers a hilarious peek into the personalities of the band members and what it's like playing punk rawk around the world... The quality of the clips varies, depending on the source, but it's all pretty entertaining. If, for some reason, seeing Blink naked in several music videos wasn't quite enough for you, the large amount of nudity featured in this segment ought to satisfy.

The highlight of The Urethra Chronicles is a collection of Blink's major label videos, including the recent Adam's Song. Visually, the videos are presented flawlessly, looking noticeably better than their MTV counterparts, and the sound ranks up with the quality of the CDs. Though lacking the videos for M&M's and the version of Mutt from the soundtrack for The Show, both videos from Dude Ranch (Dammit and Josie) and the three from Enema Of The State (What's My Age Again, All The Small Things, and Adam's Song) are here for you to watch at your leisure (screw TRL!) and can be viewed individually or continuously.

Also on the disc are two live songs from the Electric Ballroom in London (shot on video). The quality of the video and audio are a little lacking, but both songs are certainly watchable. What's My Age Again is a little lacking, and as Tom says at the end of the clip, it's pretty much all his fault. All The Small Things is far better executed and is energetic enough to make me hope that Blink's upcoming live album has a DVD counterpart.

Perhaps I'm spoiled by other DVDs, but when I saw that a photo gallery was on the disc, I was expecting a slew of photos...perhaps even some from the shoot from Adam's Song. However, there are only five promotional photos, and annoyingly, there's no option to instantly select the next image. Viewers have to go back to the photos menu and select further images manually. It's not that big a deal, but it is a bit annoying.

The credits section is more than just a text-only list of people who worked on the DVD... More video clips are interspersed throughout, including a clip where Tom comes up with the title of Enema Of The State.

Although I'm not the biggest Blink-182 fan, I got a kick out of The Urethra Chronicles and highly recommend it to fans of the band.
