Meet the Creeps Vol. 1
Short Takes
Meet the "Crappers" might be more apropos as Crank Yanking comic Jim Florentine ("I've got mail! YAY!!!!") and his merry minions gleefully mine new depths in toilet teehees. Yet, truth be told, only two of the disc's 20 hidden-camera bits contain actual fecal folly. Mr. Florentine's rancid "Upper Decker" prank, involving the unfortunate misuse of an American Standard, just really sticks with ya though. There's also tag team undie sniffing at an upscale lingerie outlet, various shopping cart shenanigans, a blunt 'n' beer fueled test drive and Jim's personal quest for a neverending source of fresh-ground pepper. While steaming with piles of loin-level laughs, at $25 shipped, the homegrown disc smells overpriced. Eight breasts. Rampant flatulence. Gay porn perusing. Baby-oiled bimbo. Gratuitous girls gone wild. Not-so-nice Samaritans. Aquarium angling. Comedic cohort Don Jamieson comes clean: "There are no happy endings here. This is not 'Candid Camera.' There's no 'Surprise! You're on TV!' These segments end in frustration, anger and people being generally pissed off!" (2003, 67 mins, Fullframe.)
