House Party 3
The Movie: Almost anything would be better than the disaster that was House Party 2, so comparatively, House Party 3 is better. A good movie it isn't, but it does entertain at parts as Kid is getting married and Play throws a bachelor party.
The Picture: The picture is ok, but there's really nothing superb about it. I've seen better colors, and an anamorphic transfer would have been nice. Overall, for a transfer from a 1994 movie I would have expected more.
The Sound: The audio is mediocre at best. During the music and dance secenes, there isn't really much to write home about. Sure, you can hear everything, but the surround sound isn't really utilized and overall, the sound just didn't seem up to par with other DVDs.
The Extras: Other than both the widescreen and fullscreen versions, there's really no other noticeable extras. There's a couple trailers from other New Line Cinema movies, but for $25, there are hardly any extras worth mentioning.
Conclusion: In conclusion, at $25, this disc is highly over-priced (as was House Party 2). There are no extras that aren't included as standards on almost every other DVD. The picture and audio are mediocre at best for a movie that isn't really that old. Although the movie itself was better than House Party 2, it still isn't really a good movie and is definitely a disc I could do without.
