DVD Talk Feature: A Tribeca Film Festival Preview
Launched in 2002 to help reinvigorate lower Manhattan in the wake of 9/11, the Tribeca Film Festival has become one of the foremost festivals on the world cinema scene. This year's festival, which runs April 21 through May 2, boasts a slate of 85 feature films (many of them world or U.S. premieres), and DVD Talk's own Jason Bailey will be there with daily reports and reviews of at least half of them (if all goes according to plan). Check out his Tribeca Preview to see some of the big names and hot indie films on his ambitious schedule. Bailey also has early reviews of some of the festival flicks, including Nicole Holofcener's whip-smart comedy/drama Please Give, Neil Jordan's lyrical adult fairy tale Ondine, and the inventive documentary Arias with a Twist: The Docufantasy.
