The Gothic daytime soap opera, Dark Shadows, gets a deluxe complete series release next week. MPI really went all out on this release, crafting an eye-catching coffin-shaped case to hold the series. It's also one of the most massive DVD collections in recent memory. The set contains an astounding 1,225 episodes (!) that span 131 discs. If that's not enough, the price is incredibly reasonable too. DVDTalk reviewer John Sinnott had a chance to sit down with the set and while he didn't make it though all 450+ hours of the show (and that's not counting the five discs solely devoted to extras or the 120 interviews with the cast and crew scattered through the collection) he did get a good sampling of the show, enough to get him hooked!
