On February 22, 2015 the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will be presenting the 87th Academy Awards and awarding the famous golden statues to some of the best theatrical releases of 2014. This is the year of the biopics with “Selma,” “The Imitation Game,” and “The Theory of Everything,” but they will have to fight the independent powerhouse that is “Boyhood” if they hope to have a chance to take home the ultimate title of Best Picture.
