Some pretty cool discs have made their way to store shelves over the past couple of weeks. Check out these new titles: Resident Evil: The Final Chapter - each installment in this franchise is fun and entertaining, embracing the ridiculous absurdity of the concept while enjoying the bad-assery of its heroine, though this installment is a bit of a dud; Making Contact - an early film directed by Roland Emmerich, this is a weird mix of horror, fantasy and sci-fi clearly inspired by the eighties films of Steven Spielberg; and Good Morning: Criterion Collection - this charming and enjoyable film from director Yasujiro Ozu has no shortage of peculiar characters, memorable moments, and makes great use of the director's distinct low-angle compositions.
