New Reviews: E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Phantasm, and Home for the Holidays
Our reviewers have been busy this week, filling the DVD
Talk Review Database more great entries. Some new reviews of note include:
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (35th Anniversary Limited Edition) - a classic family film that is as entertaining today as it was thirty-five years ago. This new 35th Anniversary Limited Edition 4K Ultra HD package offers fantastic picture and sound and ports over the solid selection of supplements from the 2012 Blu-ray; Phantasm - 5 Movie DVD Collection - the franchise itself is a great, bizarre bit of business and this budget release collects the entire series while offering a good chunk of extras for good measure; and Home for the Holidays - perhaps Jodie Foster's best film... it's aged quite well thanks to great performances from the ensemble cast, smart direction, and a wonderful screenplay by W.D. Richter.
