Fox's The Flight of the Phoenix another great picture, a male adventure tale of survival that forces a dozen uncooperative types to work together on an insane plan, Paramount's awesome Is Paris Burning? which tells a complicated historical story without cutting corners, Artisan's Cloak and Dagger a Fritz Lang spy film about Atomic secrets that had it's entire last scene censored (Savant has the full story), and Blue Underground gives the royal treatment to Baba Yaga, a weird attempt to convert an erotic Guido Crepax comic strip into an erotic comic book-like film. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.

T-2 Extreme - Great DVD - Defective Case
While the T-2 Extreme Edition DVD looks and sounds fantastic [Review], the metal case it comes in has many DVD buyers Up in Arms. Unfortunately many unlucky T-2 Extreme Edition DVD buyers (ourselves included) are finding that the fancy metal case will quickly terminate the plastic amary case inside. Artisan has been quick to acknowledge the problem and they've set up an email address people to call to get new plastic replacement cases. The address to email for a replacement case is [email protected]. Since the metal cases are 'limited' they are only going to replace the plastic inside case, our advice is to NOT put the new case back in the metal sleeve as it WILL tear it!
