DVDTalk Gets Totally Rad With Steve-O
Steve-O Interview Steve-O and Chris Pontius have contributed to a lot of mind-warping and more than a few injuries with their work on Jackass. But their finest work yet has come on their own show, Wildboyz, where they have the chance to touch on such important modern issues as homosexuality, bestiality and uncontrollable vomiting. Gil Jawetz recently had the chance to review the Wildboyz season 1 DVD and chat with Steve-O about his show, his life and his love of the spotlight. He also filled us in on the future of the mysteriously unaired 3rd season of Wildboyz and revealed something that he actually is ashamed of - and it's not what you might think. Read our complete interview with Wildboy Steve-O and Read our Wildboyz DVD Review

Silent DVD - The Girl with the Hatbox and Fractured Flickers
This week, Silent DVD takes a look at a couple of recent releases that might have passed under some people’s radar. "The Girl with the Hatbox" is a comedy from Russia that presents an interesting look at life behind the Iron Curtain. Fractured Flickers was a syndicated show from the creators of Rocky and Bullwinkle that gave the Mystery Science Theater treatment to silent movies. The entire series is available on DVD and well worth the price. All this and a list of upcoming silent movies including DVDs staring Buster Keaton, Fatty Arbuckle, and several Mary Pickford movies. Read Silent DVD now because 'not all great DVDs are in 5.1'.

Just Announced DVDs - Shaun Of The Dead
Just when you thought all the good DVDs had been announced for the year, studios announce another batch of noteworthy DVDs streeting in December, including: Shaun of The Dead on 12/21 - a genre defying zombie comedy is so good it's scary, Ghost In The Shell 2 on 12/28 - nothing can compare to the original, but this sequel is worth checking out in its own right, Wimbledon on 12/28 - we're Kirsten Dunst fans, but is that enough to pick up this lack luster film, Time Of The Wolf on 12/14 - another insanely good film from the folks at Palm Pictures. Other DVDs announced this week for beyond December include: AVP - Alien Vs. Predator on 1/25 - two big sci-fi franchises enter and only one will survive, or perhaps this will kill them both, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind: Collector's Edition on 1/4 - we're as surprised as you are to see the announcement of a Collector's Edition of this amazing film, especially several months after the standard edition release, but who can complain when one of the best films of the year gets the royal treatment. Read our list of the Most Notable Upcoming DVDs.

DVD Savant: Easy Rider, Castle Keep and Deadline
This week, The DVD Savant has reviews of Castle Keep (Widescreen Version) - Columbia TriStar goes back on the Good Guy list with this quick response to the outrage over last July's pan-scan only release of this bizarre Panavision war film, Deadline - a state governor commutes the sentences of over 150 death row inmates, and the media covered it as a liberal outrage, Garden of Allah - Marlene Dietrich charms Charles Boyer out of a monastery in this lushly romantic, ridiculously fun early Technicolor bauble from David O. Selznick, Easy Rider 35th Anniversary Deluxe Edition - The big counterculture watershed of the late 60 gets a deluxe treatment - it says so on the box, The Trojan Women - Michael Cacoyannis does interesting things with the ancient Euripides play and Suspicion - This famous suspense pairing of Cary Grant and Joan Fontaine leaves Savant cold - for his cranky 2 bits it's among Hitchcock's least interesting movies. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.
