Filled with rare and interesting films these hilarious shorts are sure to please fans of early comedy. Anime Talk: Ultraman Set 2, Paniponi Dash, Gaogaigar
This week Anime Talk looks a several interesting series. Paniponi Dash: Lethal Lesson has an 11-year-old genius teaching a class of hyper high school girls, Gaogaigar is a giant robot series that is a lot of fun, and the hilarious Ninja Nonsense has come to an end. There are capsule reviews of the lasted series sets including Gad Guard, the Mermaid Forest, Star Ocean Ex, and more. We also have a special treat this week. DVD Talk reviewer Stuart Galbraith IV is known as an authority on director Akira Kurosawa and actor Toshiro Mifune (his book on the pair, The Emperor and the Wolf, has been praise by Martin Scorsese as "a must read."), but is also a fan of Kaiju films. He provides an interesting and informative look at the second volume of Ultraman episodes for us this time. Of course Holly's back with her anime bargains, just in time for the holiday buying season, and we have our list of up coming discs so you'll know what to ask Santa for. If you're having trouble finding that prefect gift for an anime check out our Top Ten Anime discs of 2005 article.

New Movie Reviews: Tenacious D, The Fountain and Deja Vu
A solid crop of movies out this week all gunning for your holiday movie business including: Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny - Jack Black and Kyle Gass bring their vastly popular and insane act onto the big screen in a film which DVD Talk Reviewer Brian Orndorf calls "a Gravitron ride of nard-crunching brilliance and explosivo satisfaction"; Darren Aronofsky's highly anticipated and stunning The Fountain delivers as a demanding and awe inspiring filmgoing experience; Tony Scott and Denzel Washington team up in Deja Vu - a likable but somehow familiar film; Deck The Halls - the absolute epitome of the crappy holiday film. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Casino Royale, Fast Food Nation, Happy Feet, For Your Consideration, Bobby, Stranger than Fiction, Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus, Borat and Flushed Away. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films in theaters in our Movie Talk Forum Area.

Silent DVD: The films of Jacques Feyder
Silent DVD has a look at a nearly forgotten filmmaker this week: Jacques Feyder. This talented French director was responsible for a wide range of films, and three of them have been released in Rediscover Jacques Feyder: French Film Master. This three disc set released by Image has beautifully restored versions of Queen of Atlantis (1920) a classic adventure story in the same vein as H. Rider Haggard's works, Crainquebille (1922) a social commentary and lampoon of French bureaucracy, and Faces of Children (1925) a quiet and touching film that is filled with authentic emotion and easily the best film in the set. There's also news of upcoming silent releases including several discs that are scheduled to be released in the last months of 2006. Be sure to check out our previous columns including ones on the 2006 San Fransisco Silent Film Festival, Leni Riefenstahl's The Blue Light, and the restored edition of Chaplin's Mutual Comedies.

Clip of The Week: Once Upon A Girl
This week we have several clips from the DVD release of Once Upon A Girl from Severin Films. Once upon a time, a group of frustrated yet dirty-minded Hollywood animators led by writer/director Don Jurwich - famed artist and producer for The Flintstones, Josie & The Pussycats and Scooby Doo - forever scandalized the cartoon community with this immoral mix of live-action and extremely adult animation. Once Upon A Girl nearly destroyed the careers of everyone involved and has been relatively unseen until now. Check out these clips from Once Upon A Girl: Once Upon A Girl Trailer, Jack Meets Pimpy, Jack, Everyone Gets into The Act, Prince Meets Cinderella and Red Riding - Note these clips are pretty naughty and not safe for work. (Get more information on Once Upon A Girl DVD here). Be sure to catch past week's clips at DVD Talk TV.

Clip of The Week: The Blood of My Brother
This week we have a look at Life Size Entertainment's highly acclaimed The Blood of My Brother. This documentary takes you behind the scenes of the war in Iraq and shows you it from an Iraqi perspective. The Blood of My Brother is the closest most will ever come to being there, kneeling in prayer amidst a thousand Muslim worshippers, the roar of low-flying Apaches, riding atop a sixty-ton tank, driving with masked resistance fighters to attack American positions, fleeing the threat of an overwhelming response, the blood in the street, a tank on fire, or the cold, distant stare of a dead Iraqi fighter. It's a startling view of a war that you've never seen. Watch a clip from The Blood of My Brother. ( Get more information on the Blood of My Brother DVD here). Be sure to catch past week's clips at DVD Talk TV.
