The Ghost and Mrs. Muir, Winter Kills, In a Lonely Place and More

This Week's Notable DVDs
A good mix of DVD releases this week including two notable TV series: C.S.I. - Season 1 from Paramount and Futurama Volume 1 [Review] from Fox. This week Palm Pictures releases the erotically charged Sex and Lucia, Docurama has the uncensored Porn Star: Legend of Ron Jeremy and Seduction Cinema has Lord of The G-Strings [Review]. If gross out humor is your thing, you'll find none better than Paramount's Jackass The Movie [Review] or if you're at the complete other end of the spectrum then Columbia Tri-Star has Maid in Manhattan [Review]. Finally the best DVD released this week (hands down) comes from Buena Vista whose Vista Series release of Who Framed Roger Rabbit [Review] is simply superb!

The State of DVD Audio
There's been a lot of buzz over the next breed of High-Resolution 5.1 Surround audio and with DVD-A and SACD both jockeying for a position it's hard to figure out what exactly will be next. Oscar Gold on DVD
If you're looking for the Oscar winners on DVD, you don't have to look far, many of the winning films are already up for pre-order including: Chicago, Adaptation, Bowling for Columbine, Frida, 8 Mile Spirited Away , Road to Perdition and Talk to Her. Also if you're interested in seeing the winner for best animated short film The Chubbchubbs you can find it on the Men in Black 2 DVD. DVDTalk Interview - Charles Fleischer - Roger Rabbit
With a background in stand-up comedy, actor/comedian Charles Fleischer brought a unique personality to the voice of Roger Rabbit and can be partially credited for the immense success of the character. On the film’s 20th Anniversary, Disney has given this modern day classic the release it deserves in a special 2-disc Vista Series edition. DVDTalk writer Phillip Duncan had the chance to talk with Fleischer about the film’s success and what exactly it takes to be one of the most popular cartoon characters of the past decade.
