DVD Savant: The Ten Commandments
This week The DVD Savant takes a look at The Ten Commandments - Cecil B.'s Biblical extravaganza is a gaudy and grandiose wonderment with the power of your first Sunday school experience, Wife for a Night - Gina Lollobrigida stars in this period farce, from the same source play as Billy Wilder's Kiss Me, Stupid, Too Bad She's Bad - Sophia Loren and Marcello Mastroianni team for the first time in this witty farce, Girl With a Suitcase - Claudia Cardinale is a vision in this interesting drama that shows her star quality to the best advantage, Baby, the Rain Must Fall - Steve McQueen and Lee Remick give this a solid try, but Richard Mulligan's film of Horton Foote's story doesn't give any of its characters much hope. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.
