DVD Talk Interview - Cheri Steinkellner Co-Creator of Teacher's Pet
As the saying goes, there's a little child in everyone. In the film Teacher's Pet the excitement and embarrassment of being a shy fourth grader comes alive through the eyes of someone who bares only a tail and a dream. Spot, a talking blue dog (voiced by the incredibly eccentric Nathan Lane) wants out of the doghouse and into an elementary school classroom. DVD Talk Interviewer Danielle Henbest had the opportunity to talk with Teacher's Pet Co-Creator Cheri Steinkellner about the film and upcoming DVD. Just Announced DVDs
A number of great titles announced on DVD this week including: the popular reality TV series The Apprentice: Complete First Season on 8/24 - the advantage being...on DVD you can fast forward through Omarosa! Reality TV fans can also get their fix of Survivor with Survivor: All-Stars - The Complete Season on 8/31. George Lucas fans who don't mind him tinkering with his old films will be happy to see his debut film THX 1138 restored for a 2 disc special edition on 9/14. If you're looking the work of a true master of the cinema, look no further than the David Lean DVD Collection on 9/7 which includes the films Brief Encounter, Blithe Spirit, Great Expectations, In Which We Serve, Madeleine, Oliver Twist, The Passionate Friends and The Happy Breed. While he might not be a cinematic master, we still get a kick out of Jack Black (no matter how bad the film is he's in) and so we'll check out Envy and his paring with Ben Stiller on 8/10. DVDs also announced this week include: Jennifer Garner's feature film star vehicle 13 Going On 30 on 8/3, Slacker - Criterion on 8/31, Videodrome - Criterion on 8/31, Magnum, P.I.: Season 1 on 9/7 and Barbie As Princess & Pauper on 9/28.
