CineSchlock-O-Rama: Comic-Con International

DVD Savant: Criss Cross, Chronos and Coogans Bluff

This Week's Notable DVDs (8/3-8/10)
An interesting mix of notable DVDs this week including: Hidalgo [Review] - an exciting adventure flick with Viggo Mortensen and Omar Sharif that was overlooked in theaters but shouldn't be missed on DVD, 13 Going on 30 [Review] - Jennifer Garner continues to dazzle and charm us in a light romantic comedy and ode to the '80s, Significant Others: The Series [Review] - the little known and quickly canceled series can finally be seen in full, including 3 episodes which never aired. Disney made our week this week by releasing a number of classic non-animated films including: Something Wicked This Way Comes, The Watcher in the Woods, The Black Hole, Darby O'Gill and the Little People and Unidentified Flying Oddball. Fans of TV on DVD have a number of great choices this week including: Sliders: Seasons 1 & 2 [Review], Knight Rider - Season One [Review] and Comedy Central's Roast of Denis Leary Uncensored [Review]. Just Announced DVDs
A ton of new title announcements this week including: Fahrenheit 9/11 on 10/5 featuring: deleted and extended scenes and a director's commentary - it's sure to be a hot one, Around The World in 80 Days on 10/12 - the Jackie Chan remake isn't up to par with the original but Chan is always fun to watch, Gothica: Special Edition on 10/12 - this stylish thriller gets an SE upgrade, perplexing as the original release was pretty satisfying in its own right, Garfield: The Movie on 10/19 - Bill Murray voicing Garfiled, what more can you ask for? Arrested Development: Season 1 on 10/19 - critics have been raving about this uncommon comedic series for a reason, it's that good, Greg the Bunny on 10/10 -Seth Green, Eugene Levy and Sarah Silverman star in this quirky series about a talking stuffed bunny, That 70's Show: Season 1 on 10/26 - before Punk'ed, before Demi, there was this charming show. New DVD Talk Column: Silent DVD
