Anime Talk: Our coverage of Anime Boston 2009!
Anime Talk It's time for the June 2009 edition of Anime Talk! This month we're once again supplying you with a bunch of reviews for shows you should (or should not) consider. The summer months are here and before you know it you'll be inside with the AC blasting looking for something to watch. How lucky for you that the Anime Talk staff have your back! Over the course of the past month we got the opportunity to check out some cool stuff such as Last Exile, Heroic Age, Murder Princess, Sword of the Stranger, and Black Lagoon. We also have Todd Douglass' impressions of Anime Boston 2009. He was there rubbing elbows with the otaku and chillin' with the cosplayers. Read his thoughts about Funimation awesome presentation and ADV's meager panel (yes, apparently they are still in business.) All this and more in this month's Anime Talk, sponsored by RightStuf.com!

This Week's Notable DVDs: The Shield, Gran Torino, and Woodstock
The Shield: The Complete Seventh Season Check out some of the notable DVDs being released this week including: The Shield: The Complete Seventh Season [DVD review]- Fans should not be disappointed by this final season, and will most definitely want to add it to the collection; Gran Torino [DVD review, a second look at the DVD, Blu-ray review] - Alternately humorous, moving, and tense, this film really lets Eastwood strut his stuff as both an actor and a director; and Woodstock: 3 Days of Peace & Music Director's Cut [Blu-ray review] - this classic concert movie looks and sounds so much better on Blu-ray that an upgrade is highly recommended. Other releases of note include:  Reaper: Season 2 [DVD review], The International [DVD review, Blu-ray review], and RetarDEAD [DVD review]. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
