Before you head off to the cinema this weekend, check out DVD Talk's reviews of the latest releases including: Ghostbusters (2016) [a second review] - in this reboot of the franchise, the jokes don't work, the main characters aren't consistently funny, and the film has to bring in familiar faces for cameos far too often, showing a lack of confidence; and The Neon Demon - Nicolas Winding Refn's movie about an underage aspiring model is a genre-bleeding film that tiptoes along the edge of drama and suspense. Some pretty cool discs have made their way to store shelves over the past couple of weeks. Check out these new titles: Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - flawed but consistently entertaining, this movie receives an impressive Blu-ray package that includes a bounty of extras and the much-anticipated "Ultimate Edition" with 30 minutes of additional footage; Bad Moon - this horror film is short, but screenwriter/director Eric Red ensures that every last moment is used to maximum effect.... it also boasts one of the most outstanding looking werewolves ever captured on film; and Cuba - an underrated effort from director Richard Lester that is highly worthy of reappraisal.
