Movies in Theaters: The Dark Tower, The Glass Castle, and Atomic Blonde
It'd be a good week to go to the movies. Here are DVD Talk's recent theatrical reviews:
The Dark Tower - based on a series of books by Stephen King, this movie is both a bad representation of the novels and has an equally awful delivery; The Glass Castle - Woody Harrelson gives hands down the best performance of his career as the patriarch of a family that lives an unconventional, and impoverished, life; and Atomic Blonde - Hollywood's latest stab at bringing a modern comic to a new audience, but it is an idea gone wrong and a plan poorly executed.
Other recent films include: Spider-Man: Homecoming, Dunkirk, The Beguiled, Baby Driver, Wonder Woman , and Cars 3.
Check out these, and more, in DVDTalk's Theatrical Review section.

Notable Releases: The Man With Two Brains and Prizzi's Honor
Several great movies and programs have come out recently, including a few that shouldn't be missed:
The Man With Two Brains - an infectiously fun and creative comedy with fine performances, a lively score, and plenty of replay value due to the volume of great one-liners and memorable moments; and Prizzi's Honor - nominated for eight Academy Awards, this dark comedy is loaded with interesting performances and is one of the last movies directed by the great John Huston.

New Reviews: Beggars of Life, Tobor the Great, and The Warlock Collection
Some cool discs have been reviewed over the past week. Check out these recent entries:
Beggars of Life - William A. Wellman's classic 1928 film stars Wallace Beery and Louise Brooks and still packs a pretty powerful punch; Tobor the Great - pretty fun stuff, as goofy as it might be, particularly if you have an affinity for fifties sci-fi and robot movies; and The Warlock Collection - the first two movies in this trilogy offer certain supernatural charms while the third may test your patience.
