New Reviews: Lion King, Whale Rider, and Hell Up In Harlem
Lion King: The Circle of Life Edition Check out the latest reviews that have been entered into the DVD Talk Review Database including: Lion King: The Circle of Life Edition - there are enough memorable songs, excellent performances and terrific animation sequences in this Disney classic that its shortcomings can easily forgiven; Whale Rider: Shout Select 15th Anniversary Edition - the beauty of this movie’s craftsmanship and the strength of its messages remain just as poignant and dynamic today as when it was released 15 years ago; and Hell Up In Harlem - this film doesn't always make sense but it does always entertain. This is fast paced, gritty, violent seventies exploitation at its coolest. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

Notable Releases: Rebecca, They Shoot Horses, Don t They?, and The Cabin in the Woods
Rebecca: Criterion Collection There are a few new releases that you won't want to miss. Check out these hot titles: Rebecca: Criterion Collection - though this movie is one of director Alfred Hitchcick’s least recognizable productions, it is a well-crafted film that holds up perfectly well more than 75 years later due to its excellent performances, formidable atmosphere, and clever visual effects; They Shoot Horses, Don t They? - the work of a true artist, as director Sydney Pollack brings together the elements he's working masterfully with to create a touching, disturbing picture of the heights of desperation and America's oft-craven thirst for bloodsport; and The Cabin in the Woods (4K Ultra HD) - one of the best films horror fans have been treated to in a long time... its execution is practically flawless and everything from casting, to direction, editing, acting, and special effects are great. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
