TV Reviews: Big Little Lies and PAW Patrol
Interested in the latest TV on DVD reviews? DVD Talk has you covered! This week's notable entries include:
Big Little Lies: Limited Series - perfect modern television… it crackles with dramatic energy, moves forward with purpose and clarity, and even includes some sly metacommentary on the TV viewing experience at the same time; and PAW Patrol: The Great Pirate Rescue! - still going strong after four years on the air, and that's a good thing because it's still a pretty fun show: colorful and entertaining with great characters, it's more enjoyable than its simple, unchanging formula implies.

Notable Releases: It Comes At Night, Visit to a Small Planet, and Krakatoa East of Java
Another banner week for home video with the studios releasing some great films and boxed sets such as:
It Comes At Night - this film builds upon the current platform that modern horror has been constructing, adding another layer to the solid brickwork that fans of the genre have so been enjoying these pasts few years; Visit to a Small Planet - this is not the film that Jerry Lewis will be remembered for but it is a gloriously goofy slice of sixties sci-fi comedy that will certainly appeal to fans of his early work; and Krakatoa East of Java - one of the last films presented in Cinerama's deeply curved 70mm single-projector process, this movie, while disjointed, is quite entertaining and genuinely impressive on big screens.

New Reviews: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, Dracula in Vegas, and From Noon Till Three
Some great DVD and Blu-ray reviews have been added to the the DVD
Talk Review Database recently including:
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - the final film in Sergio Leone's Man With No Name Trilogy, this movie remains one of the best films from a talented director, and performances by the cast complementing a story that is downright fun; Dracula in Vegas - if you're a fan of no-budget cinema this effort from filmmaker Mick Millard is a fun watch; and From Noon Till Three - a rather odd yet enjoyable film… though categorized as a Western, it's more a wacky story set during the same time period but only following the necessary sign posts up until the point that it completely loses its mind.
