Game of Thrones: The Complete Seventh Season - the seventh season delivers exquisite fantasy action, intriguing political maneuvers, and engaging dramatic interplay between characters both fond of each other and who spite one another; Riverdale: The Complete First Season - this dark revamp of wholesome source material manages to put its own stamp on both the franchise and the genre with fun characters, twists, plenty of camp, and a great atmosphere; and The Streets of San Francisco - The Complete Series - previously available only as half-season sets those discs been repackaged at an astonishingly reduced price… the show holds up well and the discs look great, especially for this price point.

Notable Releases: The Foreigner and Terminator 2
Another banner week for home video with the studios releasing some great films and boxed sets such as:
The Foreigner - Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan give excellent performances in this action film, but the surprise of the film is how well-rounded it is – rather than relying on the acrobatics of Chan or the guile or good looks of Brosnan this movie wants to tell a story and the actors respect it and contribute what they can to it without relying on their established talents; and Terminator 2: Judgement Day 4K Ultra HD - this movie is a spectacle to behold even 25 years after the fact, but this 4K release, even with a lower MSRP than most catalog titles, has some problems that can’t be overlooked.

New Reviews: Dunkirk, Jumanji, and The Apartment
This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked.
Recent reviews include:
Dunkirk - Christopher Nolan's film is a suspenseful, well-structured examination of an important turning point in WWII history; told from three intertwining perspectives; Jumanji (4K) - this film possesses a timeless sort of craftsmanship within its suspense, magical properties, and humor that continues to hold up as the years go by; and The Apartment - an undisputed classic and one of the best films of the 1960s, perfectly balancing Billy Wilder's prowess in both drama and black comedy; it's aged exceptionally well, like just about every other film in his body of work.
