The Aisle View: The Missing, 21 Grams & In America

This Week's Notable DVDs (11/25-12/1)
The rush to get all the major DVDs out for the holiday buying season continues with a number of notable DVDs released this week including: Bruce Almighty [Review] - an extremely silly and fun showcase for funny man Jim Carrey with deleted scenes and outtakes that are simply hilarious, X2 - X-Men United [Review] - a fantastic DVD for one of the summer's most fun films, X2 is a step up from the first X-Men and it's definitely worth checking out, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: SE [Review] - this classic family film is back on an absolutely loaded DVD, MGM has done a great job with their 2 disc SE's and this one is no acception, Best of Mail Call: Season 1 [Review] - R. Lee Ermey fans will be happy to see this popular A&E series come to DVD, finally from HBO comes Ellen Degeneres: Here and Now [Review] - Degeneres returns to her stand-up roots in a special that is a real treat.

Just Announced DVDs
Here's a quick wrap up of some of the DVD titles just announced by studios: Universal has announced the DVD release for one of our very favorite films of 2003 Lost in Translation on 3/3 [Review], artfully directed by Sofia Coppola with a near perfect performance by Bill Murray, Warner Bros. has My Fair Lady: 2 Disc Special Edition on 2/3 - the next title in their popular two disc classic film restoration line, Columbia Tri-Star has The Critic: The Entire Series on 1/27 starring a very animated Jon Lovitz and produced by the same team that does The Simpsons, New Yorker has The Stone Reader on 2/10 [Review], a hidden gem documentary that captures the love and passion people have for books, and Artisan has the video game turned movie House of the Dead on 1/27.
