New DVD Reviews: Roman Holiday, 10 Years of Rialto Pictures, and Warner Bros. Gangsters Collection Vol. 4
Roman Holiday - The Centennial Collection I love the holiday season - the studios always release some great films at this time of year. This year is no exception. Reviews of some of the more notable recent DVD releases include: Roman Holiday - The Centennial Collection - A timeless classic, it's funny and touching and wholly romantic; 10 Years of Rialto Pictures - With lots of European noir, a few heady classics, and even touches of comedy and personal drama, this retrospective has some of the best reissues of the last decade; and Warner Bros. Gangsters Collection Vol. 4 - A good cross-section of titles, filmmakers, and genre stars are represented in the five films: The Little Giant (1933), Kid Galahad (1937), The Amazing Dr. Clitterhouse (1938), Invisible Stripes (1939), and Larceny, Inc. (1942). Other recent reviews include: Walt Disney Treasures: The Mickey Mouse Club Presents Annette, Madame Bovary, and Roberto Rossellini .  Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week and the ability to browse reviews by studio
