This Week's Notable DVDs: Snow White on BR, Anvil, and National Parks
It's a bit of a slow week for new releases, though there are some new titles that might make it worth a trip to the video store. Check out these recent releases: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Blu-ray) [review] - the movie is still impressive, even after nearly 75 years; Anvil: The Story of Anvil [review] - without a doubt one of the greatest rock and roll documentaries of all time; and Ken Burns: National Parks - America's Best Idea [Blu-ray review] - The filmmaker turns his camera on some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, owned not my the rich or royalty, but by the American people.
Other releases of note include: Chinese Odyssey 2002 [review], The Gate [review], and The Thaw [review].
