New DVD Reviews: The Barbara Stanwyck Collection, The Slammin' Salmon, and Cocoon
This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including some discs you may have overlooked. Recent DVD Reviews include: The Barbara Stanwyck Collection - six fine films (one of them a masterpiece) including a pair directed by Douglas Sirk; The Slammin' Salmon - Broken Lizard is finally back. With this film we get a beautifully orchestrated chorus of insanity that is definitely worth a look; and Cocoon (Blu-ray) - director Ron Howard's best film to date, this movie is blessed with a clever, humanist script and charming performances from an ensemble cast.
Other recent reviews include: Book of Lore / Grave Mistakes, Opium and the Kung-Fu Master, and Sabu Double Feature: Savage Drums & Jungle Hell. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
