New DVD Reviews: A Night to Remember, Lost Keaton, and The Ring
Some cool discs have been reviewed over the past week. Check out these recent entries: A Night to Remember - With its nuanced direction and no-frills performances, this film would make for enthralling drama even if it wasn't based on real events; Lost Keaton - Sixteen Comedy Shorts, 1934-1937 - All 16 of Keaton's Educational shorts are here and this set is fascinating for its failures as well as its successes, and there are more of the latter; and The Ring - still one of the scariest and most unnerving remakes.
Other recent reviews include: The Descendants; Bellissima, and Sinful Davey. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
