Recent Reviews: The Essential Jacques Demy, Divergent. and Invasion Of The Scream Queens
The Essential Jacques Demy This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked. Recent reviews include: The Essential Jacques Demy - a testament to the work of a brilliant filmmaker who belatedly deserves as much recognition as his peers these 6 French classics belong on any cinephile's shelf; Divergent - director Neil Burger brings Veronica Roth's series of books about dystopian government control and the civilization's youth choosing a set personality type an early age to the silver screen; and Invasion Of The Scream Queens - B-movie director Donald Farmer gathered together all the actresses he knew who were acting in low budget flicks in the late eighties and early nineties and made a documentary about them - this is an excellent peek into what was going on behind the scenes of a lot of fun movies . Other recent reviews include: Ginger Snaps, Music From the Big House, and Hell of the Living Dead/Rats Night of Terror.  Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
