Recent Reviews: The Essential Jacques Demy, Divergent. and Invasion Of The Scream Queens

The Essential Jacques Demy - a testament to the work of a brilliant filmmaker who belatedly deserves as much recognition as his peers these 6 French classics belong on any cinephile's shelf; Divergent - director Neil Burger brings Veronica Roth's series of books about dystopian government control and the civilization's youth choosing a set personality type an early age to the silver screen; and Invasion Of The Scream Queens - B-movie director Donald Farmer gathered together all the actresses he knew who were acting in low budget flicks in the late eighties and early nineties and made a documentary about them - this is an excellent peek into what was going on behind the scenes of a lot of fun movies .
