DVD Savant: Out of the Past, The Unforgiven, and Wildcat Bus
Out of the Past This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews and articles including: Out of the Past - Not since original 35mm prints were screened has Jacques Tourneur's romantic noir masterpiece looked this good. Robert Mitchum reached stardom playing a detective too tough to be taken in by anything... except the alluring, devious fugitive Jane Greer, a genuine drop-dead beauty of the 1940s; The Unforgiven - John Huston gets remarkable performances from a top cast in this excellent frontier drama... when rancher Burt Lancaster's adopted sister Audrey Hepburn is accused of being an Indian, it looses a storm of racial hatred and violence; and Wildcat Bus - A deadbeat playboy and his chauffeur help Fay Wray's bus line get the goods on crooks that are sabotaging their buses and faking accidents, all to put them out of business. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.

This Week's Notable Releases: The Railway Man, Motel Hell, and Filth
The Railway Man There are some new titles coming out that might make it worth a trip to the video store this week. Check out these recent releases: The Railway Man [review] - fine performances and quality script help to make this a triumphant and remarkable motion picture; Motel Hell [review] - With its cacklingly dark sense of humor and some unforgettably twisted visuals, this film still feels fresh and wildly unique even all these decades later; and Filth [review] - Jon Baird's adaptation of author Irvine Welsh's 1998 novel is both brilliant and brilliantly entertaining. Other reviews of note include We Won't Grow Old Together [review], Turtle Power: The Definitive History of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles [review], and OMG Volume 2: The Top 50 Incidents in WCW History [review]. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
