Recent Reviews: Technicolor Dreams, Mack Sennett, and Hal
Some great DVD and Blu-ray reviews have been added to the the DVD Talk Review Database recently including:
Technicolor Dreams and Black and White Nightmares - Thunderbean has released a Blu-ray combo pack filled with rare, odd (in a good way) and wonderful cartoons... this is a must-buy for anyone who has the slightest interest in animation; The Mack Sennett Collection, Vol. One - this new Blu-ray set of 50 digitally restored classic films (includeing two features) illustrates that the film pioneer made a far more expansive range of screen comedy than is generally known; and Hal - The Movie - a genuinely inspired, heartfelt and original hard science-fiction story presented through some of the most breathtaking visuals to be seen in modern animation.
Other recent reviews include: The Den, Bicycling with Moliere, and Mid-Century Modern Animation, Volume 1. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
