Clip of The Week: Ironside - The Complete First Season
ironside season 1 This week we have several clips from Shout! Factory for the DVD release of Ironside - The Complete First Season. Chief of Detectives Robert Ironside (Raymond Burr) is shot down by a sniper's bullet while vacationing at a remote cabin. Surviving the assassination attempt, Ironside is left paralyzed from the waist down. Confined to a wheelchair, he becomes the head of his own special police unit, solving crimes with a crack team of investigators on the streets of San Francisco. Set during the turbulent '60s, Ironside - Season One confronted the hottest issues of its time - civil rights, drugs, hippies, rock 'n' roll - and gave television its first disabled hero. Ironside's featured many special guest stars - including Harrison Ford, Bruce Lee, Jack Lord, Susan Saint James, David Carradine and Gary Collins. Watch these clips from Ironside - The Complete First Season: Ironside trailer, opening, "Will you cover up for a killer?', "You're a long way from a race track german".
