More highlights from SXSW 2015
The Overnight DVD Talk reviewer Jeff Nelson traveled to Austin, Texas for South by South West 2015 last month. While he was there he saw some great films that are making the film feastival circuit. Check out these movies that all come highly recommended: The Overnight - There are an abundance of laughs to be had in writer/director Patrick Brice's newest film; Mania Days - writer/director Paul Dalio has crafted a masterful drama with an impact unlike anything else.. the best film of the SXSW 2015 Film Festival; and The Invitation - a slow-burn thriller that greatly enjoys manipulating the audience with its various twists and turns... this is atmospheric cinema that knows how to create tension. Check out these, and more, in DVDTalk's Theatrical Review section.

TV on DVD: WKRP In Cincinnati, Greatest Heroes of the Bible, and Fairy Tail
WKRP In Cincinnati: The Complete First Season Some great TV shows have made their way onto DVD recently including: WKRP In Cincinnati: The Complete First Season - a great opportunity to enjoy the consistently excellent start of one of TV's best-written, best-cast sitcoms... and this new Shout Factory release of WKRP's first season successfully preserves many of the great musical jokes that were lost in the previous Fox release; Greatest Heroes of the Bible: Volume One - this Schick Sunn Classic Productions from the late 70's is just what you'd expect from the company... family friendly fare on a very low budget; and Fairy Tail: Part 15 - the series remains entertaining, action-packed, and engaging throughout this entire set. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked. Recent DVD reviews include: The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies - a fine conclusion to Jackson's saga for serious Middle Earth fans, especially given that the Blu-ray features quality video and audio as well as an enjoyable selection of supplements; The Babadook - one of 2014's best horror films featuring an insidiously terrifying idea by writer / director Jennifer Kent and a spectacular lead performance in Essie Davis... it's a terrifying and unique movie; and Thunderbolt and Lightfoot - an entertaining road trip with great performances from Clint Eastwood, Jeff Bridges, and the supporting cast, while the film's "anything goes" attitude maintains a broad and lasting appeal for new and seasoned fans alike.
