Movies in Theaters: Sicario, Pan, and The Final Girls
Sicario There have been a lot of really good films released this summer. Check out some of these movies that come highly recommended: Sicario - one of the year's best films and something we'll be talking about come Oscar season; Pan - definitely a unique take on this classic that is filled with kooky creations that find their way into this new version of Peter's back story; and The Final Girls - while all moviegoers are likely to have a good time here, horror fans will get the most out of ithis one... it's inventive, funny, thoughtful, and consistently entertaining. Other recent films include: The Martian (3D), Pawn Sacrifice, Inside Out, Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, and Straight Outta Compton.. Check out these, and more, in DVDTalk's Theatrical Review section.

This Week's Notable Releases: Bram Stoker's Dracula, Magic Mike XXL, and Going Clear
Bram Stoker's Dracula Supreme Cinema Series There are a few new releases this week that you won't want to miss. Check out these hot titles: Bram Stoker's Dracula Supreme Cinema Series [review] - truly a work of art, a moody love story where the atmosphere and visuals are probably more important than the story itself - the movie looks and sounds as good as it ever has, while the new package is extensive and well-crafted, inside and out; Magic Mike XXL [review] - set three years after the first film, Mike still finds himself with an occasional urge to dance; and Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief [review] - this HBO film about the Church of Scientology and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard draws you in with some sensationalism and then following it up with substance and human tragedy that makes it compelling viewing. Other reviews of note include: Captain Apache [review], Peanuts: Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (And Don't Come Back!!) [review], and Cop Car [review]. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

Recent Reviews: A Room with a View, Accidentally Preserved, and The Honeymoon Killers
A Room with a View (Criterion Collection) Some cool discs have been reviewed over the past week. Check out these recent entries: A Room with a View (Criterion Collection) - an enormous box-office hit that was nominated for 8 Academy Awards, this Merchant-Ivory film is an interesting and compelling romantic-drama; Accidentally Preserved: Volume 3 - another great collection of rare and exceedingly hard to find shorts, often taken from the only surviving print that is in the hands of private collectors; and The Honeymoon Killers (Criterion Collection) - the movie is fast paced and exciting but not at the cost of character development... it is compelling and thought provoking cinema. Other recent reviews include: Mosquito: 20th Anniversary Edition, I'll See You in My Dreams, and Nightingale.  Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
