TV on DVD: Perry Mason, Daniel Tosh, and Gesualdo
TV on DVD remains very popular with more and more favorites being released. New TV reviews include:
Perry Mason Movie Collection: Volume Five - this set brings the "saga" to its resolutely final conclusion and hardcore fans will want to make a point of picking this release up; Daniel Tosh: People Pleaser - This is same Tosh that we've been enjoying for years, hitting on the same points that have brought him his fame; and Gesualdo: Death for Five Voices - an engaging fan letter from madman filmmaker Werner Herzog to madman composer Carlo Gesualdo that will certainly be of interest to their respective fans.

This Week's Notable Releases: Suspicion, Bride of Re-Animator, and The Forest
This week several great movies are coming out, including a few that shouldn't be missed:
Suspicion [review] - an underrated entry in Alfred Hitchcock's formidable back catalog, serving up plenty of suspense, atmosphere, and terrific dialogue from start to almost-finish; and Bride of Re-Animator [review] - this sequel might not be the undisputed classic that the original film is but it's a worthy sequel in its own right; and The Forest [review] - the Japanese 'suicide forest' should have been a great setting, but this movie is boring with muddled mythology and a distinct lack of scares.

New Reviews: Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Hunger Games, and The Power of One
Some cool discs have been reviewed over the past week. Check out these recent entries:
Star Wars: The Force Awakens - an exciting adventure which takes the Star Wars story forward while paying homage to the classic films in the series; The Hunger Games: Complete 4 Film Collection - a series which delivers even doses of enthralling themes and raw entertainment value within a dystopian young-adult setting; and The Power of One - there's a lot to like here in an excellent 90s flick: young talent, stirring passion, and beautiful backdrop... the possibility that this movie might actually touch you shouldn't be played down.
