Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Complete Series TV on DVD and Blu-ray remains very popular with more and more favorites being released. Notable Releases: Castle in the Sky, The Lift, and Scarecrow
Castle in the Sky There are a few new releases that you won't want to miss. Check out these hot titles: Castle in the Sky - the film fires on all cylinders: it's loaded with great characters, kinetic action scenes, suspense, drama, memorable music, and mystery that kids of all ages can enjoy; The Lift - an enjoyable little horror import that's aged extremely well since 1983, thanks to its great atmosphere and a well-executed premise; and Scarecrow (1973) - a small, intimate, and character-driven film that has sharp dialogue, plenty of drama, a little bit of comedy, and a subtle role reversal that will make viewers miss the era in which films like this were much more commonplace. New Reviews: Warm Bodies, The Green Slime, and The Flamingo Kid
Avanti! This week the DVD Talk Review Database has some great new entries, including a few discs you may have overlooked. Recent reviews include: Warm Bodies (4K UHD) - an unexpectedly good zombie love story that eschews teen romance cliches and instead relies on dry wit and a sense of zombie adventure to entertain; The Green Slime - supremely goofy but action-packed and crammed with sci-fi hardware and imagination throughout, this film is perfect Saturday matinee fun; and The Flamingo Kid - a fish-out-of-water, coming-of-age, class-conflict comedy set in the metro New York area of the early 1960s, starring Matt Dillon as the titular kid. Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
