Rolling out an entirely new Pro mode as well as a new instrument, Harmonix and EA released a new version to their massive Rock Band franchise. Fans of arthouse movies have a lot to look forward to in this month's Talking Out of Frame. There are reviews of films by legendary French New Wave director Alain Resnais, Czech filmmaker František Vlácil, and one of Ingmar Bergman's less-famous masterworks get the Criterion treatment. TV on DVD remains very popular with more and more favorites being released. New TV reviews include: Slings & Arrows: The Complete Collection (Blu-ray) - this Canadian show is a remarkable production that deserves all of the accolades it has received; Ellery Queen Mysteries - a unique and extremely enjoyable mystery series; and On the Road with Charles Kuralt - Set 3 - a real treasure trove of material, the kind of thing the DVD format is especially good at archiving.
