Space Kidettes and Young Samson Some great TV shows have made their way onto DVD this week including: Space Kidettes and Young Samson - these two obscure cartoons from the 60's make for an enjoyable half hour show; The Cosmos: A Beginner's Guide - a wonderful first step into modern astronomy for the casual viewer wanting to broaden their minds; and Scarecrow and Mrs. King: The Complete Second Season - Escapist '80s television at its glossiest...and most charming. Other shows recently reviewed include:  iCarly: Season Two, Volume Two, Napoleon & Love, and The Guild: Season Four.  Want more?  Check out all of the TV on DVD reviews in the DVDTalk database.

DVD Savant: Soylent Green, The Wild, Wild Planet, and Embodiment of Evil
Soylent Green This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews and articles including: Soylent Green - Charlton Heston and Edward G. Robinson suffer in the overpopulated jungle of New York City, where normal food has become extinct and the Soylent Corporation serves up protein in little colored wafers. Definitely one of the better ecological disaster pictures; The Wild, Wild Planet - The best of the '60s Italo space operas is a fun diversion, even if it looks held together with duct tape and piano wire; and Embodiment of Evil - Just when you thought Coffin Joe was safely locked away, he comes back to once again torture and slaughter! The Brazilian boogeyman returns to finish his Zé do Caixão trilogy after a 40-year gap in time. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.

Drive-In/Exploitation/B-Movie Challenge Are you a fan of off-beat movies? If so, DVDTalk has the event for you! It's time for our Second Annual Drive-In/Exploitation/B-Movie Challenge where uber-fans try to watch 100 B-movies in a single month and (optionally) complete the movie checklist that has such diverse items as watching a cannibal movie, a biker film, and a nunsploitation flick. If you think you're up to the challenge, or even if you just want to watch, check out the official Challenge thread and the list thread where competitors will post the movies they've screened. It'll be loads of fun, and there are prizes too! The fun all starts on March 31st.
