DVDTalk Interview: Bruce Campbell Talks about The Evil Dead

Bruce Campbell Talks about The Evil Dead The Evil Dead is a classic horror film for a variety of reasons, but one of the many main reasons is Bruce Campbell's character Ash. He's your average Joe and also a total dope, the latter making him even more charming. DVDTalk writer Jack Giroux had a chance to chat with the iconic star about shooting the film that lauched his career. Read what he had to say in the latest DVDTalk interview. Be sure to check out our earlier interviews too including a Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Roundtable Discussion, and a Chat with the Spierig Brothers.

DVD Savant: Time Bandits, Ajami, and The Grasshopper
Time Bandits This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews and articles including: Time Bandits - Terry Gilliam's first fanciful epic comedy hits Blu-ray with all six of its diminutive Time Bandits intact, along with Sean Connery, Michael Palin, John Cleese, Shelley Duvall, Ralph Richardson and David Warner. More imagination and cinematic creativity here than in ten CGI sagas; Ajami - One of last year's Best Foreign Film nominees, this controversial Israeli film portrays the tensions, mindless persecution and catch-22 hopelessness in a Arab ghetto of Jaffa stricken with all the evils of the drug traffic; and The Grasshopper - Lovely Jacqueline Bisset offers an excellent performance as a shallow girl overwhelmed by good times and easy living in Las Vegas ... and who suffers for her bad judgment and bad luck. Jim Brown co-stars in this early test of the Ratings system, sort of Showgirls twenty-five years earlier with a modicum of sensitivity. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.
