New Game Reviews: Homefront, Rango, Full House Poker
homefront review Hyping up thier first major release of the year, THQ released a new first person shooter based in a future where Korea invades the United States. Check out our complete review of Homefront released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC. Over on the Playstation 3, we reviewed Sony's puzzle game Slam Bolt Scrappers. On the Xbox 360, we took a look at Paramount's Rango, THQ's Russian nesting doll game Stacking and Microsoft's avatar enabled title Full House Poker. New Movie Reviews: Paul, The Lincoln Lawyer, and Limitless
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost accept the friendship of a sardonic alien named Paul. Read reviews from Brian Orndorf, Jamie S. Rich, and Tyler Foster. DVD Savant: Excalibur, Eye of the Devil, and Libel
Excalibur This week the DVD Savant has a number of new reviews and articles including: Excalibur - John Boorman's version of the Arthurian legend is an imaginative and beautiful fantasy that looks all the better in Blu-ray; Eye of the Devil - This great-looking 'sixties shocker finds Deborah Kerr and her children menaced by the pagan cult that worships her husband's vineyards in the French countryside; and Libel - Landed gentry and accused imposter Dirk Bogarde must sue to regain his good name -- but his war-impaired memory is so bad that he begins to believe his accusers. This Week's Notable DVDs: The Fighter, The Switch, and Yi Yi
The Fighter This week several great movies are coming out, including a few that shouldn't be missed: The Fighter [Blu-ray review] - David O. Russell directs Christian Bale and Melissa Leo in Acadamy Award-winning performances; The Switch [Blu-ray review] - the movie takes a sitcom concept and humanizes it to a lovely degree; Yi Yi - Criterion Collection [Blu-ray review] - this new Criterion release is a marvelous presentation of a marvelous film.
