New Movie Reviews: Damsels in Distress, Comic-Con, and The Hunter
This week in theaters, writer/director Whit Stillman makes his long-awaited return to film with the charming Greta Gerwig vehicle Damsels in Distress. Gods of geek Joss Whedon, Stan Lee, and Harry Knowles produce and appear in Morgan Spurlock's documentary peek at the San Diego Comic-Con, Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan's Hope. Also in theaters this week: Willem Dafoe tracks a nearly-extinct prey in the fascinating and contemplative The Hunter, and a 1994 hijacking is brought to life in the French thriller The Assault.
