New Movie Reviews: The Other Guys, Step Up 3D, and Centurion
Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg take on the criminal element in the clumsiest way possible in the action-comedy The Other Guys. Read reviews from Brian Orndorf, Jamie S. Rich, and Tyler Foster. The spirit of hip-hop dance jumps off the screen in Step Up 3D. And director Neil Marshall takes on a bloody Roman war in Centurion. Also in theaters: Music flows again in the French comedy The Concert. Head into the tight confines of a sweltering tank in the war film Lebanon. Share the laughs and tears with the Winnebago Man. And meet The Sicilian Girl. Be sure to catch reviews of other recent Theatrical Films: Dinner for Schmucks, Charlie St. Cloud, Cats & Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore, Inception, Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel, Smash His Camera, Salt, The Extra Man, The Kids Are All Right, South of the Border, Despicable Me, and The Girl Who Plays with Fire. As always, we invite you to share your thoughts on films In Theaters in our Movie Talk Forum.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World Roundtable Interview
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The one summer movie that most of the DVDTalk review panel is really anticipating is Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World. Based on a series of graphic novels created by Bryan Lee O'Malley, the film is directed by Edgar Wright and stars Michael Cera. DVDTalk writer Tyler Foster had a chance to sit down with Wright, Cera and supporting actress Anna Kendrick to talk about the movie and the source material, and the slowed-down cut of the film. Read the entire interview here.

This Week's Notable DVDs: Kick-Ass, A Prophet, and Akira Kurosawa
Kick-Ass There are a few new releases this week that you won't want to miss. Check out these hot titles: Kick-Ass [ Blu-ray review] - visceral violence, dark humor, and a ten year old girl laying waste to an army of goons while she swears up a storm... what more could you want?; The First Films of Akira Kurosawa [DVD review] - four rarely seen early films created by the acclaimed director during WWII; and A Prophet [DVD review, Blu-ray review] - a brooding, assured picture, and if the labyrinthine plotline detracts, the execution never wavers. It's an outstanding film. Other new releases of note include:  Heroes: Season Four [DVD review, Blu-ray review], Diary of a Wimpy Kid [DVD review], and James and the Giant Peach [Blu-ray review]. Be sure to check out our DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.

New DVD Reviews: Red Vs Blue, The Wind Journeys, and Parasomnia
Red Vs Blue: Season 6 Reconstruction Our reviewers have been busy this week, filling the DVD Talk Review Database more great entries. Some new reviews of note include: Red Vs Blue: Season 6 Reconstruction - a sci-fi Office Space with sharply drawn personalities, screamingly funny moments, and clever plots; The Wind Journeys - a Colombian road picture that takes us on a journey through a semi-mystical musical culture and manages to balance the human with the mythic; and Parasomnia - this twisted version of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale delivers when it comes to thrills and chills. Other recent reviews include: Return to Lonesome Dove, That Evening Sun and The Maid.  Visit the DVD Talk Review Database for all the latest reviews including an entire section devoted to reviews of DVDs out this week.
