Great performances in a mostly forgotten winner. Read all this and more in this week's DVD Savant.

Not a lame teen sex comedy, this show builds on its witty, romantic tone; and Word Is Out: Stories of Some Of Our Lives - The first and perhaps best documentary about the experience of Gays and Lesbians came from the 1970s, before the AIDS epidemic and before much of the country had even begun to consider alternate lifestyles as legitimate.
